From Pace High School:
“Parents, Mr. Shell and the Pace High School administration, faculty, and staff hope you all are safe and secure during these trying times. Officially, we will begin online Distance Learning Thurs., April 2, but many of our faculty members are already reaching out to your students virtually. This makes us excited and nervous, all at the same time, probably exactly how you all are feeling as well. There are two ways to go about communicating with us concerning the Distance Learning platform. One is through Microsoft Teams (internet access needed) or through our paper packets (internet access NOT needed). At this point, if you wish to participate through Microsoft Teams, you can view the Microsoft Teams video by the clicking on the Distance Learning icon, either on this page (below) or the Santa Rosa County School District Page. If your student has a computer, phone, tablet, etc., with internet access, they may use this platform. If you are wanting to participate through our paper packets process, then please contact us here at Pace High (850.995.3600) between 8am - 4pm (M-F), letting us know that you need packets for your students. When you call, we will let you know when the packets will be available for pickup, or you can let us know if you need other arrangements. Assigned work will be graded, and attendance will be documented."
A word of caution on appropriate online behavior from Asst. Superintendent, Mr. Emerson:
“While engaging in distance learning activities, the Santa Rosa County School District code of conduct applies to the posting of inappropriate language and/or pictures. Posting inappropriate material may lead to removal from online distance learning opportunities, and depending on the nature of the post, could lead to alternative placement or expulsion.”
